46 fished round three on the Long Lake, bright and flat calm. It was hard going early with the sun on the water, but the carp came up in the water through the afternoon and the top weights all caught shallow.
Mark Ashworth won from peg 22 with 148lb 6oz, catching shallow at 11 metres on a banded 6mm pellet. Kevin Bradley took second on peg 9 with 136lb 12oz, fishing shallow and then finishing down the edge on meat. Dean Holloway made the frame from peg 31, 129lb 4oz on the pellet feeder across to the far shelf.
Silvers were hard with the carp so active. The best came on caster and chopped worm fished on the deck, but nothing got near the carp weights. Round four is in a fortnight.
This is a demo report on The Frame. The match, the anglers and the weights are all made up, to show how a real match report looks.
